We are interviewing Mark Darmanin today, the Executive General Manager for our South-West Region (Ballarat, Geelong, Horsham and Warrnambool) Operations.

How long have you worked at JG King Homes for:

I joined JG King Homes about 2 months ago, in August 2024. From the moment I arrive, I've been impressed by the supportive team and the positive work environment. I truly hope that I can contribute to JG King Homes and keep growing the business.

What does a typical day at work look like:

Working in a dynamic environment supporting my team, problem solving, assisting customers, participating in meetings, responding to calls and emails, sometimes on the road looking at homes under construction or displays. Reviewing budgets, financials and business plans.

Greatest achievement in your career:

Building a high-performance team based on trust and respect. Being a leader, sharing a vision and making it a reality. Turning a negative situation for customer into a positive one. There is no better achievement when you handover a customer's home - the biggest investment that most people would make in their lifetime. This is a real privilege.

What does home mean to you:

Home is a place you share with your loved ones, your sanctuary. A safe space to be yourself. A place to reflect and grow.

Describe your dream forever home:

A place that has longevity, security, allows for growth. A home that provide clean lines and inspiring spaces. A place that I feel proud of and allows for the creation of positive memories.
