Steel frames are no noisier than timber frames. Studies conducted by the CSIRO found that “most occupants of homes with steel frames either reported no sound emitted from the frame or said that, if it did, it was no problem”. In fact, some volunteered that there was less noise than previous timber framed houses.

The steel we use has a protective zinc/aluminium coating ensuring excellent durability, even when used in roofing where it is exposed to the elements. At drill holes and cut edges, the galvanic action of the coating protects the exposed steel edge against corrosion.

Although steel frames without a termite barrier are a safe option to protect from termites, JG King Homes add a termite barrier to their steel frame homes. This means you are 100% protected from termites and have peace of mind that there will be no damage to your house structure.

Our steel frame homes are made from 100% recyclable BlueScope steel, surpassing best environmental practices. Some timber frames are treated against pests and hazards with toxic chemicals – steel needs none of that.
