We are interviewing Rhowan Mcleod-Dryden today, the New Home Advisor for our Metro Melbourne team, the person that helps bring our customers dream home a reality.

How long have you worked at JG King Homes for:

I started with JG King Homes in April 2023. It has been a great and eventful 1.5 years, a lot of downs and ups, but the team and I have persevered through all the challenges we faced.

What does a typical day at work look like:

My days are very dynamic and structured at the same time, juggling various tasks between the day. To give you a bit of an idea of what a typical work day looks like for me, I usually start early to follow up on overnight emails, mid-morning I'm either out on the road conducting site visits for construction capability reviews or visiting land sales offices, the afternoon is typically identifying House and Land Packages, generating estimates and setting up clients for the next phase of interaction.

What led you to working in the home building industry:

Working in the home building industry stems from my background in building design. Blending aesthetics with functionality and creating environments that truly improves people's lives are the reason why I love to work in this industry.

Greatest achievement in your career:

I may not have a single, standout achievement to point to just yet. I consider my greatest accomplishment is the continued growth I've gained in the home building industry. From studying architectural design to hands-on construction, I've learned valuable skills and improved in design, teamwork, and turning plans into homes. I'm excited to keep building on these experiences for future success.

What does home mean to you:

Home is not just a place. It's a space that grows with us, it tells a story of laughter, love and moments that make it ours.

Describe your dream forever home:

My forever home is a single-story homestead with plenty of zones for living and relaxing. I'd love a cathedral ceiling for space and character, making it both functional and inviting.
