Behind the Master Plan with Kelly Ferguson

We are interviewing Kelly Ferguson today, the New Home Advisor, the face to JG King Homes to our customers. 
 

How long have you worked at JG King Homes for:

I have worked here for 3.5 years. And I have loved every day that I come to work here and get to meet and chat with our customers and potential customers about our Steel Frame Homes and their building journey.

What does a typical day at work look like:

I love a list! The list includes customers to contact, estimates to do, sales paperwork to complete, chats in the office (work related.... of course!) and completed with a mid morning soy latte. My afternoon is generally at the display followed by being tragic and watching TV with my laptop, on my lap!

What led you to working in the home building industry:

I wanted a part time job that worked for our family's needs when my kids were toddlers as we had no family in town. Being an associate in a display home on weekends was great for this. However, now that as my kids are all grown up, I have transitioned to doing this full time and I have loved the change to doing this full time!

Greatest achievement in your career:

I did win regional salesperson of the year at another builder one year. It was pretty special, however coming to JG King Homes and having the flexibility and support of management to allow me to thrive in my role, that has been the best achievement. Work/Life Balance!

What does home mean to you:

Home to me means having inviting spaces indoor and outdoor to relax in, functional rooms for easy liveability and be a welcoming space for friends and family to enjoy good times with.

Describe your dream forever home:

My perfect home is where it's warm, near a beach, has great views and fabulous coffee spots around. There needs to be space for family to visit and hang out. The house itself is filled with natural light, polished concrete floors, has no stairs and comes with a cleaner!
